Funeral Director & Owner
Kristin has spent most of her professional life serving others in the medical field and hospice. She feels like she has be in training for this very special work for several years. In 2013, she decided to go back to school to obtain her Mortuary of Science degree. With the support of her husband, Billy, and their 3 children, Colby, Gracie and Clyde, she was able to graduate in 2015 from Amarillo College with a Mortuary of Science degree, graduating with honors. She stayed in school throughout her apprenticeship and received an Applied Science degree from Klamath Community College, graduating with honors. Kristin has been working at Desert Rose Funeral Chapel since 2016 when she started serving her internship. She is honored to be serving the community of Lake County and will always do so with a caring heart.
Dan St. Clair
Dan came to Lakeview 1955 and graduated with the class of 1957. Dan enlisted in the Army in 1957 and served his country honorably for 3 years. He went on to attend Eugene Bible College where he graduated in 1975. Dan, his wife Cheryl, and their two children spent a number of years pastoring churches throughout Oregon, Idaho, California and Nebraska. He later attended Mt. Hood Community College where he obtained his Mortuary of Science degree. Dan established Desert Rose Funeral Chapel along with his wife Cheryl in 1997. Since that time, Dan has cared for Lake County with a compassionate heart.
Cheryl Hanson is a native Oregonian, born in Bend and raised on a dairy farm in Terrebonne. She went to high school in Wyoming, then moved back to Oregon where she married and raised her family.
Cheryl has spent most of her life in the Central Oregon area. In 2013, she made a move across the country from Terrebonne to the Boston, Massachusetts area to go to Mortuary school. Cheryl graduated from Fine Mortuary College in 2016 in Norwood, Massachusetts and returned to Oregon where she now lives.
Cheryl is passionate about helping families with the difficult task of putting a loved one to rest. She gained considerable experience in Boston, and had the privilege of helping many families of different religious and ethnic backgrounds. While working in the La Pine area, she came to love the close connections a small town can give, and is looking forward to getting to know the community of Lakeview.
