Funeral Director & Owner

Kristin has spent most of her professional life serving others in the medical field and hospice.  She feels like she has be in training for this very special work for several years.  In 2013, she decided to go back to school to obtain her Mortuary of Science degree.  With the support of her husband, Billy, and their 3 children, Colby, Gracie and Clyde, she was able to graduate in 2015 from Amarillo College with a Mortuary of Science degree, graduating with honors.  She stayed in school throughout her apprenticeship and received an Applied Science degree from Klamath Community College, graduating with honors.  Kristin has been working at Desert Rose Funeral Chapel since 2016 when she started serving her internship.  She is honored to be serving the community of Lake County and will always do so with a caring heart.


Billy Thompson

Owner/ Crematory Operator

A native Oregonian, living in Lakeview his entire life, he has grown to love Lake County and its people.  Caring for them at this time seemed to come naturally. When not working at the funeral home, Billy enjoys hunting, fishing, and the outdoors that the Oregon outback offers. He and his wife Kristin, work together to operate the funeral home and care for the people of Lake County. 


Dan St. Clair

Dan came to Lakeview 1955 and graduated with the class of 1957.  Dan enlisted in the Army in 1957 and served his country honorably for 3 years.  He went on to attend Eugene Bible College where he graduated in 1975.  Dan, his wife Cheryl, and their two children spent a number of years pastoring churches throughout Oregon, Idaho, California and Nebraska.  He later attended Mt. Hood Community College where he obtained his Mortuary of Science degree.  Dan established Desert Rose Funeral Chapel along with his wife Cheryl in 1997.  Since that time, Dan has cared for Lake County with a compassionate heart.


Finn

Finn

Therapy Dog

Finn is a loveable Aussiedoodle. He was born on May 14, 2019, to Toby & Tilly who are both Aussiedoodle's.  Finn attended his training to become a "therapy dog" at Freedom K9, a facility in Yreka, CA in 2019.  He loves people, cuddles, and any ball you might have to play with.   If his comforting and companionship are something you desire while visiting us, please just let us know.
