Theresa E Carter

Theresa Carter passed away on February 12, 2021, peacefully at Mayer Hospital in McArthur, CA.  She was 99 years of age, just missed 100.  Theresa was born in Silt, Colorado on June 9, 1921, into a family with two brothers Urcel, Leon, and one sister Gayla.  Later came a half-brother John.

Theresa lived most of her life in Lakeview, OR.  She was married to Clifford Carter in 1941.  Theresa worked for the telephone company for 26 years.  She loved to bowl, hunt, and fish. 

She lost her first son Ronald Carter in May of 2006, followed by her husband Clifford in 2007.  After the passing of her husband, Theresa moved to McArthur, CA to be closer to her son Paul and his family.

Theresa is survived by her son and daughter in law, Paul and Laura of McArthur, CA, five grandchildren; Tami Carter-Lucas, Staci Thompson, Michelle Lawson, Heather Carter, and Shareesa Carter, five great-grandchildren; Michael Lucas, Jaren Thompson, Jessica Dowell, Brittany Lyda, and Andrea Eggers, as well as two great-great-grandchildren Olivia and Lillian Eggers.

A celebration of life memorial will be held for Theresa at a later date.  Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Theresa to the charity of the donor’s choice.
