Sonia Irma Gatlin

Sonia Irma Gatlin was born August 14, 1947, in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, and passed away March 29, 2021, in Lakeview, OR.

Sonia loved to listen to music, yard sale shop, sing, sew, and playing board games with her family, and spending time with her grand-babies. Among her many other talents, Sonia was an incredible cook. Her family always enjoyed gathering to eat her delicious meals. She enjoyed passing down her knowledge of cooking good food with her family. Sonia was typically the reigning champion at the board game Aggravation, with her grandkids and she loved to laugh at a good joke.  She enjoyed her Godly studies with her husband and Jehovah’s Witnesses friends.

She is survived by her husband Roy Gatlin, daughter Monica Weidner and spouse Tomie. Her mother Aurora Guevara and 11 siblings. 3 grandchildren, Thomas Weidner and spouse Mindy, Megan Mercer and spouse Kelly, Seth Weidner and spouse Rose and her 5 great-grandchildren- Cody, Meranda, Emily, Kaia, and Nicho.
