Ronald Howard Cramblet, 85, passed away in Lakeview, Oregon on February 25, 2023.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, March 10, at Foursquare Community Church at 264 N P Street in Lakeview, Oregon with Pastor David McCarty officiating. The final resting place will be at Westside Community Cemetary in Lakeview, OR. Desert Rose Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Ronald was born on February 11, 1938, in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Howard and Louise (Schuck) Cramblet. He was their only child. He attended Sacred Heart School in Klamath Falls. In his younger days he enlisted in the Navy. He lived in California for several years. He spent most of his life in Southern Oregon in Klamath Falls, Bonanza, Bly, and then Lakeview in his later years.
Ron had a variety of jobs over the years. He worked at San Jose Waterworks and was also a stone mason in CA. He was a heavy equipment operator at Weyerhaeuser Mill in OR. He was a Bly Mountain volunteer firefighter. Ron also did stone masonry work and restored the Forest Service Wall in Bly, OR. He was a custodian and maintenance worker for the Bly School District before retiring.
Ron enjoyed going to church and loved music and playing his guitar and singing. He played with the Oldtime Fiddlers in his later years. He loved spending time with family and friends and always enjoyed meeting people. Ron loved dogs and almost always had one by his side. He also enjoyed motorcycle riding on his trike and taking people of all ages for rides. He enjoyed the outdoors, fly fishing and even tying his own flies like his father Howard did, as well hunting, and bowling. He had a funny sense of humor throughout his life and enjoyed making people laugh and smile.
He is survived by his five children, Ronette Verrall of Santa Rosa, CA, Stephanie Cramblet of Glenwood Springs, CO, Randall Smith of Oroville, CA, Angela Cramblet of Seattle, WA, and Michelle Goodrich of Klamath Falls, OR, and five grandchildren.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents Howard Cramblet and Louis (Schuck) Cramblet and uncles Charles and James, and aunts Birdi, Dorothy, Goldie, and Marie, and also Aunt Ann and husband B.K. Diskin of Klamath Falls.
He will be greatly missed by his children and his friends and church members.
