Robert "Bob" Dean Builta

Boyd – Robert Dean “Bob” Builta, 84, went to be with our Lord, Friday, December 30, 2022, in Boyd, Texas.

Graveside Service is 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Aurora Cemetery.

Rev. Doug Acklie will officiate.

Bob was born September 15, 1938, to John Henry and Louella Elnora (McDonald) Builta in Caldwell, Kansas. He was united in marriage to Shirlene Baker on July 13, 1964, in Humbolt County, Nevada. Bob graduated from Caldwell High in Caldwell, Kansas, and proudly served our country in the United States Army. He worked in maintenance for the US Postal Service. He was a member of the Flatwood Baptist Church and a beloved husband, father, and grandfather of 3 generations.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Louella Builta; 4 sisters; and 5 brothers.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Shirlene Builta of Boyd; 3 sons, David Lawson of Lakeview Oregon, Gerald Lawson of Boyd, and John Builta of Boyd; his daughter, Gena Williams and husband Billy of Warrenton, Oregon; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; his brother, Lee Builta and wife Peggy of Whiterock New Mexico; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
