Robert Marion Swart

Robert Marion Swart passed away peacefully on February 7, 2021, in Lakeview, Oregon.  We lost a much-loved Father, Grandfather, and Friend. At the age of 85, Dad saw and did a lot of living. 

Robert was born on June 29, 1935, to Riley and Opal (Neuenfeldt) Swart in Iowa Falls, Iowa. He was a graduate of Bellflower High School. Dad married his high school sweetheart Patricia Dixon in 1955. They were married 50 plus years at the time of her death in 2006. Dad served as a Chief Petty Officer in the Naval Air Reserves unit for 20 years traveling far and wide in his service. Worked on many government projects as a technical draftsman during his career as well. He served on the Lake District Hospital Board in his retirement years.

Most of his hobbies and activities revolved around his family. Dad loved camping, fishing, hiking, bike riding, photography as well as scouting, and computer science.

He is survived by 4 out of 5 of his children David, Teresa, Ric, Kenneth. Steven R.I.P. as well as 3 out of 4 of his grandchildren Christina, Rondall, Joshua. Jacob R.I.P. Also his sister Crystel Dickens. He was blessed with a great friendship with Ann Murphy for over 10 years. 

We all greatly appreciate the care and comfort he received at Lakeview Gardens these last couple of years.
