January 27, 1950 ~ November 4, 2023 (age 73) 73 Years Old
Rick Sommerville sadly passed away November 4th, 2023, in Lakeview, Oregon.
Rick was born on January 1st, 1950, in San Rafael, California to Gorden and Dalores (Kimble) Sommerville. Rick was a dedicated and genuine person to be around.
In March of 1970 Rick joined the Army to serve his country. He was honorably discharged in November of 1975. Before moving to Lakeview Rick spent many years working for PureGro, which was an agricultural Chemical business.
He loved bass fishing along with fixing and repairing old equipment. Rick enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Rick had a soft heart for helping others. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Williams fire Department in Williams, California before moving to Lakeview to be a Rancher.
Rick was survived by his son Chad Sommerville and his wife Fernanda of Colleyville, Texas along with his 4 granddaughters that were the light of his life, Samantha, and her daughter Paisley Grace (Ricks great granddaughter) of Penn Valley, California, Alyssa of Colleyville, Texas, Dakota of Colleyville, Texas and Leah of Colleyville, Texas. Ricks mother Dalores Sommerville of Petaluma, California and his brother Todd Sommerville of Petaluma, California. Also, his good friends Bill and Becky Pennington of Lakeview, Oregon.
Rick was proceeded in death by his father Gordon Sommerville and his aunt and uncle Bill and Trina Sommerville.
Rick was an avid supporter of St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.

Ricks graveside service with military honors was held on November 16th, 2023, at the Westside Cemetery in Lakeview, Oregon.
