Ramona Lorine McMaster

Ramona passed away Friday, April 7, 2023, at the age of 92.  She was born January 11, 1931, in Chiloquin, Oregon to Andrew and Ethel (Morey) Anderson. 

Ramona grew up in Chiloquin and then moved to Willow Ranch, CA at the age of 7.  She graduated from Modoc High School in 1949 and married Leon Pochop after graduation in 1949. 

Ramona and Leon had three children:  Jeanette Hoskins of Redding, CA, Marvin Pochop deceased, and Philip Pochop of ID.  She was very involved in the community with the Highgrade 4-H Club and she also belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star.  After Leon passed away on December 7, 1985, she married Bill McMaster in 1993 and Bill passed away on November 18, 2020.  Bill and Ramona enjoyed traveling together to many different locations. 

Ramona loved her family and enjoyed keeping up with all of their individual activities.  She loved working in her garden and growing flowers to create beautiful arrangements to enjoy outside.  She was an avid quilt maker and she enjoyed making treasured projects for each of her children and grandchildren.  One of her favorite activities was visiting with her many friends and community members, whether at events or running into them at the store.  She especially loved hosting visitors that would stop by at her residence. 

Ramona was proceeded in death by her parents Andrew and Ethel Anderson, her first husband Leon Pochop, brother Melvin "Andy" Anderson: son Marvin Pochop;  second husband Bill McMaster;  and step son-in-law Don Waterman.  She is survived by her daughter Jeanette Hoskins, son Philip Pochop and daughter-in-law Jacque Pochop, daughter-in-law Chris Pochop, sister-in-law Carrie Lee Anderson; stepsons and daughters-in-law Mike and Richann McMaster, David and Sharon McMaster;  and step daughter-in-law Susan Waterman;  she also had 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

The celebration of Ramona Pochop-McMaster's life will be held on Saturday, May 6th at 11 am at Davis Creek Community Center.
