Patricia June (Sawyer) Pointere

Patricia June Pointere, 83, passed away peacefully in Lake County, Oregon on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

Patricia was born August 16, 1938, to James and Viola (Lamb) Sawyer, in Fruto, California. Patricia grew up and lived in Fruto, CA, later moving to Oregon and living in New Pine Creek, Burns, and Lakeview until her passing. 

Patricia worked in the food industry and had a handful of jobs; she was also a homemaker and very active with her church. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses church of Lakeview.  Patricia enjoyed crocheting and knitting and was an avid reader.  She really enjoyed her friends and spending time just visiting with them.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, son; Dean Pointere, brother; James Sawyer; and her infant sister.

She is survived by her son; James C. Pointere; sisters, Judy Kennedy, Jenny Klein, Myrtle Steward, and Kathy Goodwin, brothers; Bill Sawyer and Don Sawyer.

Quietly

If I were to be lost,

In a more pleasant spot,

The forest is where I’d like it to be.

With the sound of the wild,

And the rustle of the trees,

I could stay there eternally.

For with blue jays blending so true,

And the green grass reaching my eye,

I could be lost there eternally.

Or at least until I die.

Private family services are planned for a later date.
