Mildred Charalene (Darst) Scott

Mildred Charalene Darst Scott, 76, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2022, in Lakeview, Oregon.

Charalene was born on September 1, 1946, in Lakeview, Oregon to James E. and Mary Ruth (Stephens) Darst.

As a young child Charalene, was very active in school.  She learned to play the piano, was a member of the band and choir, and played sports in school.  She graduated high school in 1964.

After high school, Charalene attended secretarial school in Portland and OIT in Klamath Falls, for bookkeeping and accounting.  She worked for the State of California for 20-plus years.

Charalene married Gary Lee Scott on February 6, 1966, and were married for 55 years until Gary’s passing.  They lived in Susanville, CA. until they moved back to Lakeview.

Charalene loved gardening, camping, and taking care of many rescue dogs and cats.  She loved being with her grandchildren.  Charalene and Gary loved to travel, they made three cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean.

Charalene was preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband Gary.

She is survived by her children Jim (Cheri) Scott and Beth (Bill) Seifert, brothers; Tony Darst and Gary Darst, grandchildren; Bradley and Christopher Seifert, Jaylene and Justin Scott, great-granddaughter Lydia Scott

Graveside service was held for Charalene in Lake City, California on November 26, 2022, @ 11:30 A.M.
