Melvin Partin Obituary

Melvin Roy Partin was born March 25, 1949, in Lakeview Oregon to Clifford and Zola (Hanks) Partin. He was raised in Lakeview and Lake City, California. He graduated from Lakeview High School in 1967 then attended and graduated from heavy equipment operator trade school in Idaho.

He met and married Peggy Ruth (Wootan) Partin in 1971 and had three wonderful children in Lakeview. Marla Rae (1972), Johanna “Jody” Rochelle (1974) and James “Jimmy” Edwin (1976). In his early years he worked as a cowboy, ranch hand and retired as a heavy equipment operator.

He made Lakeview home again where he settled with his very special partner in crime and companion, Missy!

He was preceded in death by his son James ‘Jimmy”, his dear mother Zola Bell, his father Clifford James, his stepdads Marcus Partin and Jerry Lewis. His ex-wife Peggy (Partin) Hultman, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his daughters Marla Rae Slay (Gerald) and family, Jody Rochelle Johnston (Benny) and family, stepsister Allison Abernathy (Russ), ex-wife Irene Partin and her daughters Jennifer and Janelle and their families. As well as a stepson from a previous relationship, Joey Lepori and numerous extended family, including his very special family over Fandango pass and in Nevada.

He will be missed by many. Marla will especially miss their daily visits and silly banter. His sweet Missy is lost without him.
