Leon Wells

Leon Wells passed away peacefully on August 8, 2020, in Lakeview, OR.  Leon was born in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to Frank and Nellie (Green) Wells on October 10, 1926. 

Leon moved to Lakeview in 1948.  He met the love of his life, Frances Louise Bundy in Arcata, CA.  They married on February 14, 1953, and were married for 62 years. 

Leon worked in the timber industry as a timber faller using a crosscut saw.  He served in the Army during the Korean war.  He was a timber faller and also owned a tire shop.   He and Frances were members of the Eagles Lodge.  They were avid outdoors people enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping.  They spent 15 summers in Ketchikan, Alaska fishing.

They had two children; Donna (Mark) Riste of Kennewick, WA and Ron (Suzette) Wells of Portland, OR, two Grandsons; Cameron and Todd Riste, Two great-granddaughters; Brielle and Olivia Riste

He will be interred at Sunset Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions in Leon’s memory can be made to Lakeview Home Health and Hospice, 700 South J Street, Lakeview, OR 97630.
