Johnny Bingham, Sr. Obituary

Johnny DeWitt Bingham passed away on August 4, 2020, in Lakeview, OR.  Johnny was born in Franklin North Carolina, to Wayne and Betty (Passmore) Bingham on July 12, 1948. 

Johnny served in the Army and was a Vietnam veteran.  He met and married Nelma Nobles in 1968 and then moved to Crescent City, California, and had their family of three children. 

Johnny moved to Lakeview with his wife where he enjoyed fishing and being with family. 

Johnny was a sweet man who loved his family very much and he will be extremely missed.

Johnny is survived by his daughters; Vennessia (Bryan) Hammond of Reno, Nevada; Veronica Miller of Republic, Washington; Son; Johnny (Kelly) Bingham Jr. of Sparks, Nevada; Brother and Sister in law, Jarrett & Lorraine Bingham of Lakeview, OR; Sister Jillda Sturdevant of Crescent City, California; Grand Children; David Hutchinson, of Lakeview, OR, Taylor Hammond of Reno, NV, Cody Hammond & Aidra Hammond of Reno, NV, Chelsea Miller of Republic, WA, Jacob Fondy of Reno, NV, Samantha Bingham & Dylan Bingham of Sparks, NV, Great Grandchildren; Dewey, Asher, Liane

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents; brothers James Bingham and Jerry Bingham; Granddaughter Brittany Hutchinson.

Johnny had numerous nieces & nephews.  He was especially close to Jeremiah, Joey, and Jayne Bingham and very close to Gerald & Marla Slay all of Lakeview, OR.

There will be a Celebration of Life in October.  Memorial contributions in Johnny’s memory can be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
