John Ferdinand Griffin

John Ferdinand Griffin, 72, passed away in Lakeview, Oregon on Thursday, January 13, 2022.

John was born September 23, 1949, in Bellingham, Washington to Clifford and Dorothy (Hawk) Griffin. 

John spent some time in California in the early ’70s, from 1972-to 1979.  John met and married Brenda (Brinkley) in 1977, they then moved to Lakeview in 1979, where he created a lifetime of memories until his passing. 

John worked for the Lake County Education Services for over 30 years.  He served on several boards in Lake County including, Lake County ESD, Lake County Cemetery District, Lake County Museum, and The Order of the Antelope.  John’s willingness to help out and serve Lake County will be missed.

John enjoyed researching Lake County's history.  He also loved to hunt, fish, and see what he could find with his metal detector.

John is survived by his wife Brenda of Lakeview, OR, brother; Clifford Griffin of Edmonds, WA, and two sisters; Judith Walsh of El Cajon, CA, and Kathleen O’Brien of Midvale, UT.

At John’s request, there will be no services held.  He will be interned at I.O.O.F Cemetery in Lakeview, OR.

Memorial contributions can be made in John’s memory to Lake County Cemetery District 220 North G Street, Lakeview, OR 97630, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
