Jimmie Earl Friermood, 75, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, in Lakeview, Oregon.
Jimmie was born April 18, 1946, in Prineville, OR to Howard and Mabel (Lane) Friermood, where he lived until 1990 when he moved to Lakeview.
Jim worked in the mining industry most of his life, running rock crushers and eventually owning his own quarry and crushing operation. He was a master fabricator, which helped with his passion for building hotrods, and he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. By the age of 16, he had his first hotrod built and ready to go as he got his driver’s license.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Amy of Lakeview; his five children Tammy (John) Ford of Fort Ogden, FL; Randy (Joe Anna) Friermood of Sweet Home, OR; Lane (Larissa) Friermood of Powers, OR; AJ (Krystin) Friermood of Klamath Falls, OR; and Jamie Friermood of Lakeview; as well as five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Mable Friermood, his sister Mable Louise Barnes, his former wife Patty Friermood, and Granddaughter Brandi Friermood.
Private Family Celebration of Life will be held in Lakeview, Oregon.
