Jim Rudolph Ballance

Jim R. Balance passed away peacefully at his home in Butte Valley, Oregon on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

Jim was born June 19, 1936, in a cabin with a dirt floor and an Indian blanket for the door,  Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Rudolph and Esther (O’Neil) Ballance. He was the youngest of 9 siblings and the last to pass. 

Jim was loved by many; he lived a long full life that left an impact on many. He enjoyed working in his shop doing just about anything, enjoyed his horses and training them, he could also be hard to beat at a game of cribbage as he was an avid player.

Jim is survived by his loving wife; 4 daughters, 3 sons, and several grandchildren.

Jim will be missed by many and forgotten by none.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Lakeview Methodist Church, with committal at the I.O.O.F Cemetery in Lakeview, OR, there is a reception lunch following. 

Memorial contributions can be made in Jim’s memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
