Jerry Duane Henderson, 78, passed away Monday, Nov. 16, 2020.
He was born in Oklahoma and moved to Lakeview with his family at a young age. He graduated from Lakeview High School in 1960 then spent two years in the Army, with some of that time stationed in Korea, before returning back to Lakeview. Jerry then had a long career with the Forest Service, retiring in 1994.
Jerry loved the outdoors. He lived to hunt and fish, ride his mountain bike up black cap and play fetch with his dogs. He was a beloved father of 3 boys, coaching their baseball teams, playing catch in the front yard, and riding motorcycles in the desert with them. He will be dearly missed and, in our hearts, forever.
Jerry was preceded in death by Parents, Carl William and Mary Margaret Henderson; Brother, Larry; and sister, Mary.
Jerry is survived by: Brother, Gary Henderson; Son, Kevin Henderson; Son and Daughter-in-law, Wade and Michelle Henderson; Son and Daughter-in-law, Scott and Lysvette Henderson; Partner, Sharon Hiatt; Grandchildren, Chance, Regan, Andreina, Alex, and Ana; Great Grandchildren, Avalee and Parker.
The family is planning a private celebration of life to be held at a later date. If desired, friends may make memorial contributions to Oregon Outback Humane Society, P.O. Box 206, Lakeview, OR, 97630, or any charity of your choice.
