Jeannette Philibert passed away peacefully at her home in Lakeview, Oregon surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, March 6, 2021.
Jean was born July 4, 1939, in Corona, California to Sherwood and Billie (Hickembottom) Naylor. She spent her childhood and early adult years in Paradise, California. She met and married Charles Philibert on February 17, 1964. They spent the majority of their 57 years together in Oregon, coming to Lakeview in 1983. They enjoyed raising their family and spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jean was a homemaker in all senses of the term. She spent her entire life taking care of the family that she loved and making her house a home. Whether it was cleaning her house, cooking meals for the family, or just being there when needed, she gave all of herself and never took a day off. Holidays were her thing mostly because that was when the entire family was usually able to get together and she always made sure that each and every child had their goodies and gifts. She was a wonderful lady and will be extremely missed by all.
Jean is survived by her husband Charles, son and daughter-in-law Shawn (Mirnada) Philibert, daughter; Darlene Marrietta, grandchildren; Austin, Emily and Alexa Philibert, and Daniella, Tony and BJ Marrietta, and numerous great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions can be made in Jean’s memory to Lakeview Home Health & Hospice, 700 South J Street, Lakeview, OR 97630, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
