Harold Lee Ross died peacefully in Fort Rock, OR, on February 8, 2020, at age 79. He was born on October 11, 1941, in Broken Bow, OK to Clifford and Fay (Blair) Ross. They moved to Lakeview in February 1947. Harold graduated from Lakeview High School and joined the Navy where he participated in Operation Deep Freeze completing two tours around the world. Harold was a father and a good friend to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Fay Ross, and his oldest son, Scott Ross. He is survived by his remaining children, Tony Ross of Austell, GA, Michele Thomas of Dallas, GA, Dawn Vance of Bentonville, AR, and Nola Walker of Lakeview, OR. Harold had 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and his much-loved pup, Callie. He is also survived by numerous cousins and lifelong friends.
Harold was a career truck driver. He spent a great deal of time camping and hunting with his kids and his buddies, where they would spend hours sitting around the campfire talking about the ones that got away. He will be missed by many.
