Gayle Jean (Ackerman) Johnston

Gayle Jean Johnston, passed away peacefully at her home in Lakeview, Oregon on April 25, 2024, at the age of 71.

Gayle was born in Crescent City, California on July 12, 1952, to Louis and Delores (Telander) Ackerman.

Gayle came to Lakeview, Oregon in 1958 with her parents and was a Lakeview high school graduate with the class of 1970. Gayle worked at the Lake District hospital for 31years as a dietary cook.

Gayle loved to go hunting and fishing with her family, she enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking. She liked the outdoors and snowmobiling, camping, ATVing and she also enjoyed bowling.

Gayle is survived by her 2 children, son Richie (Angie) Johnston and daughter Tara (Bruce) Geil and 2 brothers Les and Dale Ackerman.

She is preceded by her parents, and husband David Johnston

A memorial service for Gayle will be held at a later date.
