Donald Benton Wilson

Donald Benton Wilson passed away at his home in Lakeview, Oregon on Saturday, July 15, 2023.

He was born to Thomas and Beulah (Akins) Wilson on February 17, 2023, in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Donald was raised in Langell Valley and attended Bonanza High School, graduating with the class of 1960. He moved to Lakeview, Oregon in 1963 where he met and married Gloria Supple in Reno, Nevada in 1964.  They have continued to live in Lakeview, raising their family there.

Donald worked in the logging industry for many logging companies running equipment and driving log trucks.  He then became a self-employed owner-operator of his own logging truck.

Don enjoyed the outdoors, car racing, fishing, hunting, camping, riding ATV’s and especially snowmobiles.  He like to read about the history of Klamath and Lake Counties and would often explore the wonders of these counties that he read about.

Don is survived by his wife Gloria, daughters, Tricia (Matt) and Christina, son Donnie, granddaughter Aubrie and grandsons Tristen, Kevin, Kaelin, Benny, and Timmy, sister Jean Pool and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents, brother Harold Wilson and sisters Ester Barclay and MaryAnn Conley

Memorial contributions can be made in Don’s memory to Lake District Hospital C/O Cancer Travel Fund 700 South J Street, Lakeview, OR 97630, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Don on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the Eagles Lodge.  There will be a potluck to follow the service.
