Dixie Lee Lambertson passed away peacefully at home on March 3, 2021, in Lakeview, Oregon. Her unwavering belief in God gave her peace during her final moments.
Dixie was born April 16, 1937, to Calvin and Lottie (Peterson) Hammerley in Klamath Falls, Oregon. She attended and graduated from Lakeview High School. She later married her loving husband, Paul Lambertson on September 8, 1960, in Reno, Nevada.
Dixie lived in Bly, Oregon where she and Paul owned and operated the Sycan store for 6 years. She returned to Lakeview with her family where she went to work for the State of Oregon as the Director of Lake County Weatherization Services, for several years until she retired.
Dixie was very fond of going fishing, camping, hunting, and spending time with friends and family.
She was preceded by her parents, and one brother LeRoy Hammerley.
Dixie is survived by her husband Paul; son Brian (Sandy) Lambertson; Cousin Sandy Miller; nephew Dan Hammerley; one grandchild and several other family members.
A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, there will be a reception lunch following.
