Dell Ray Petersen

Dell Ray Petersen passed away on August 17, 2020, at the Lilac House in Lakeview, OR.  Dell Ray was born in Burley, Idaho, to William and Nettie (Dayley) Petersen on November 7, 1986. 

Dell Ray grew up in Bly where he attended school and got his graduation certificate.  Del Ray’s family moved to Lakeview in 1950 and Dell Ray has lived here ever since.  Dell Ray never married but had lots of friends that kept his life full and fulfilled. 

Dell Ray was a cowboy if there ever was one.  He loved the cowboy way and did all he could to be apart of that lifestyle.  He enjoyed the Lake County Round-Up and was a gateman for the bucking shoots for years.  He loved to read and would spend hours reading his favorite author Louis L’Amour and really any western book.  Mostly he loved to just plain visit with all his beloved friends. 

Dell Ray is preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers and 1 sister; 2 special friends Bob Barry and Ed Pierson

There will be a Graveside Celebration of Life service held at a later date.  Memorial contributions in Dell Ray’s memory can be made to Ed Garrett Museum 438 Mountain View, Lakeview, Oregon, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Desert Rose Funeral Chapel is in charge of Dell Ray’s Care.
