Clifton Gillmore Obituary

Clifton Hugh Gillmore, 85, passed away peacefully in Lakeview, Oregon on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

Clif was born August 31, 1936, to Chalmus and Bertha (Simmons) Gillmore, in Ashland, Oregon. From 1936-1949 the family moved several times throughout California and Oregon, then in 1949 to Lakeview, OR, where Clif remained until his passing.

At the age of 13, Clif was baptized in the First Baptist Church, which was behind Safeway at that time. Clif attended and graduated from Lakeview High School in 1955.  After high school, Clif enlisted in the Airforce and spent the next four years serving his country honorably.  Two of those years were spent in Japan.  Clif had several and varied employment, but what he loved the most was becoming a pastor of the First Baptist Church in New Pine Creek at the age of 30.  Clif served his Lord and the community until his passing.

Clif later in his mid-50’s met and married Patsy (Eoff) Gillmore the love of his life.

Clif is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh (1996) and Maude (2000), a sister Nancy Lee (2000), and brother in law Jim Lee (2001).

He is survived by his wife Patsy of New Pine Creek, OR
