Clarea Lasley Obituary

Clarea Michele Lasley set out for her last adventure on November 2, 2020. At the age of 37, she had already brought more light into the world and touched more souls than many do in an entire lifetime.

Clarea was born on December 5, 1982, in Silverton, Oregon, to Lanitta and Arthur Griffiths with two older brothers, Arthur and Justin. They made their home in Lakeview, Oregon, where she met her stepdad, Jake Warner, who accepted her unconditionally and loved her as his own. With Jake came two younger sisters, Challis and Quincy Warner. On August 23, 2000, Clarea was blessed with her littlest sister and best friend, Jordan Warner.

As Clarea grew up in Lakeview, she made many treasured friends and connections throughout the community. When she graduated from Lakeview High School, she started her medical career at Lake District Hospital as a CNA in the long term and acute care. It was easy to tell she was naturally talented at caring for her patients. Clarea later earned an EMT certificate and became an ER tech. As an ER tech, she continued to impact the lives of her patients and fellow Lake District Hospital staff. Numerous patients have been touched by her presence for a lifetime, as they remember how well she cared for them and their families in a time of need. The medical staff, as well as the community, recognized her as a top-notch medical professional, and are forever grateful for the lives she has saved.

While her professional career was admirable, Clarea would say her proudest achievement is her sons, Kylor and Kason Lasley. She found joy in watching her boys do anything, especially playing football. She wanted to make sure they experienced life to the fullest. They could often be found together camping or hunting, cuddling around a bonfire, and hitting the road for a trip with friends. Clarea loved them fiercely and did everything in her power to give them the best.

Clarea brought life and light into the world and leaves behind a hole for many--a mom to adore, a daughter to hold, a friend to call, an empty chair around a campfire, a sister to hug in a time of need, a friendly smile, a partner in crime, and one less spark of joy in this world. Clarea “went hard at whatever she did” and that passion made her presence so strong that her absence will be impossible to fill. We will remember her as we create adventures of our own, when we share a drink, stop by to visit a friend, cut down a Christmas tree, cheer on her boys in football and in life, drive in our cars with the windows down and music blasting, when we dance, and when we show love for each other. There are no words to fully explain what Clarea meant to so many, but we can take solace in knowing, the memories she created with loved ones will live on with us.

The family would like to thank the community for their thoughts, support, and prayers. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made for Kylor and Kason’s future at Pacific Crest Credit Union.
