Christopher Thompson Obituary

Christopher Ray Thompson passed away July 18, 2020, with his loving wife of 51 years by his side, in Lakeview, Oregon.

Chris was born to Walt and Gladys Thompson January 30, 1948.  He is survived by sister, Ileene Teats, brother Doug Thompson (Geanie), sister Valrye Langford (Rich), sister Edith Hanks. Preceded in death by his parents Walt and Gladys and brother Gary Thompson.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Thompson, daughter Kristin Sandahl and son Jeremy Thompson. Kristin has five children Jessica (Greg), Jennifer (Erik, daughter Haiden, son Clark), Joshua (Morgan, son Tytan), Annie (Dimitry son Nickolai), and Jacob (Kristen).  Jeremy (Michelle) has two sons Garrett and Liam.

He was raised and lived most of his life in Lake County, God’s Country as he often said.  He worked in the woods and always enjoyed spending time talking long drives, picnicking, and adventuring with the grandkids sharing with them his love of nature. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 25th at 2:00 P.M. at the United Methodist Church, with committal at the New Pine Creek Cemetery.  A catered meal at the church will follow the committal.  Services will be conducted under current COVID-19 regulations.  Please comply with current requirements and distancing.
