Breda Lynch Flynn

Breda Lynch Flynn, passed away on March 20, 2024, in Lakeview, Oregon.

Breda was born on July 5, 1930, in County Commade, Kanturk Cork Ireland to Con and Mary (Barry) Lynch.

Breda was raised in Ireland until she was ten years old, and her family moved to Lakeview, Oregon.

Breda graduated from Lakeview High School in 1949 and graduated from the University of Oregon in 1953 with a degree in business.  After graduating from University of Oregon Breda moved to Prineville, Oregon where she taught high school business.  In 1957 she married D. Jack Flynn and moved to Plush, Oregon.  In 1973, they began to live the school year in Lakeview for their children’s education where Breda went back to teaching for the next twenty years.  After retirement from teaching Breda returned to Plush year-round and continued ranching with her family until the time of her death. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years D. Jack Flynn, her daughter Corinna Frank, parents, sister, and brother-in-law: Nora (Con) Flynn: brothers and sisters-in-law: Phil (Sue) Lynch, Jim (Eleanor) Lynch; and several nephews and nieces.       

She is survived by: her daughter and son-in-law Jackie and Roger Mathis, St. Louis, MO.; son-in-law Chad and Sheila Frank, Plush, OR; grandchildren John (Elizabeth) Mathis, West Lake Village, CA; D. Jack Mathis, Chandler, AZ; Ross Frank, Lewiston, Idaho; Keith (Courtney) Frank, Lakeview; Jace Frank, Plush; and Con Frank, Plush; great-grandchildren Holly and James Mathis, Kace and Kayden Frank; and many nephews and nieces.   

Rosary will be held Monday, March 25th at 6:00 p.m. at Saint Thomas Catholic Church in Plush Oregon and the Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, March 26th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Lakeview. There will be a visitation before the Mass from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The committal will follow at Sunset Park Cemetery in Lakeview, Oregon. A reception will be held at the Elks Lodge following the committal.
